Brady PowersBrady Powers works with the Center for Community Living & Careers (CCLC) and the Center for Collaborative System Change (CCSC) at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) through Indiana University. He has 20+ years of experience working with non-profit and for-profit agencies in Executive Leadership roles working with programs in benefits analysis, residential services, employment services, therapy services, addiction & recovery, day programming, and child &; adult abuse prevention.
Brady works with the centers and the institute, doing research, curriculum development, teaching, grant writing, and outreach. Brady is the Income Based Trainings and Fee for Service Project Director for CCLC. He helps with the Benefits Information Network (BIN) Project, doing all outreach training, and teaches the Basic BIN Liaison, Advanced BIN Liaison, and the Work and Disability: Benefits, Incentives, and Asset Development training classes. He is certified nationally through Virginia Commonwealth University as a Community Partner Work Incentives Counselor. Brady teaches the Employment Consultant training classes for CCLC and helps develop and write curricula for other employment-related training courses. He helps train and write curricula for the Vocational Rehabilitation Leadership Academy (VRLA) and the CCLC Learning Academy (CLA), helps monitor IEPs, develops and presents trainings as part of the INSTRC team at CCLC, and is a trainer on the Family Employment Awareness Training (FEAT) program. Brady also works with the National Core Indicators (NCI) Project with CCSC and individuals receiving waiver services in the state. Brady was an inaugural member of the Access, Empowerment, and Social Impact Committee at IIDC, where he served for over two years and now serves as the Chairperson of the committee for the seven centers at the Institute. Brady is a member of the National Association of Benefits and Work Incentives Specialists (NABWIS) and the national and state levels of the Association of People Supporting Employment (APSE). Brady has collaborated on a Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation published article on motivational interviewing and verbal de-escalation techniques. He is a voting member for IIDC with the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) and has served the past two years on the national Board of Directors for ACRE and was just reelected to another two-year term for 2025-2027. |
