Lara EneinI have extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation. I currently work as the Training and Professional Development Coordinator for the University of Massachusetts, Boston, developing and facilitating training, webinars and other professional development events for staff and faculty. I was the Coordinator of the Employment Services Program at the Institute for Community Inclusion for over 25 years. I also developed curriculum for the College of Employment Services/Direct Course. I have worked as a vocational program supervisor and an employment specialist, performing job development, job coaching, career exploration, employer outreach and counseling. I present locally, nationally, and internationally on topics related to disability and employment. I enjoy providing technical assistance, individualized training and creating tools and resources to assist community provider agencies, state agencies and Career Centers in building their capacity to serve individuals with disabilities. Lastly, I have co-authored several articles and publications on employment and disability, including a journal publication on employment staff competencies. I was awarded the Leadership in Supported Employment Award by APSE (both the national organization and the Massachusetts chapter). I have
served on the MA APSE board for over 12 years and as Treasurer for over 8 years. |
