Randy DicksRandy has a unique role straddling the line of provider and trainer. Randy has one foot planted firmly in the provider world where he works full-time as the Director of Community Based Programs for InVision Human services in the Pittsburgh area. In this role, he oversees all aspects of community services which include, community supports, supported employment, and customized employment.
Randy began his career with InVision in 1999. At that time, InVision was one of 7 national providers participating in the Choices Access Grant. This was a national demonstration to show that people most impacted with disability could be successful in the workplace. It was during this project that Randy first became familiar with Marc Gold & Associates as they were coordinating the project. Randy spent much time learning and perfecting his skills in customized employment, focusing on Discovery and Customized Job Development. He was then asked to come on board as a consultant for MG&A in 2012. That’s when he planted his other foot firmly in the training/consulting world. Within MG&A, Randy functions as the Director of Training and Certification. A key aspect of this role is continued development and monitoring of the ACRE approved Curriculum MG&A used in their Comprehensive Customized Employment Course. Randy has had the opportunity to train on Customized Employment both Nationally and Internationally. |
