How long is my certificate of achievement good for? Are there continuing education requirements to maintain my certificate?
Your certificate never expires because it is NOT a certification. Your certificate of achievement is awarded by an ACRE training organization, and simply means that you completed all of the training requirements.
- ACRE does not offer any certifications.
- Once a certificate is awarded, there are no other requirements of the trainee. There is no expiration date.

How do I get my name on the certificate registry? Do I have to be an ACRE member?
The ACRE Certificate Registry is a listing of names of people who have completed an ACRE-Endorsed training and have received a Certificate of Achievement. For names to be listed in the Certificate Registry, the following must happen:
- Trainees enroll in training offered by organizations who offer ACRE approved training. The trainee is responsible for completing all requirements of that training.
- The training provider is responsible for submitting the names of completers, to ACRE for the Certificate Registry.
- Trainees do not need to be members of the ACRE Association to have their names listed. The Training Organization that offers the training must be an ACRE member.
My name should be listed on the Certificate Registry but it is not. What should I do?
If you have successfully completed an ACRE Approved training program and received a certificate of achievement, but you do not see your name on the Certificate Registry...
- Contact your training provider. Ask them if your name has been submitted. (make sure you completed the requirements and have your certificate from them)
- ACRE Training providers submit names to be added to the certificate registry. Please note that many training providers wait till the course is over to submit names. This may mean several weeks as they receive final fieldwork assignments.
If I get the basic certification and I take extra training, can ACRE give me a professional certificate?
